I love making these cute crochet flowers, to pop onto all my craft projects, crocheting a flower is really easy, and once you make one, there really is no
stopping you. From the basic crochet flower pattern, you will be amazed at what you can create, and how it adds a little flair to your projects, I love adding these flower appliques to hats and headbands.
I attach a button to the hat or headband and I can easily change the flowers and colors.




US TERMS used ANY Hook Size ANY yarn Colour

Ch=chain
s st = slip stitch
sc = Single Crochet
dc=double crochet
hdc= half double crochet

Easy Crochet Flower Pattern

Yarn:Any to suit your project   Hook:the bigger the hook/yarn the bigger the flower, you can create all sorts of sizes mixing up hook and yarn - this is the fun part.


Chain 3, join with sl st to form a ring. 
 Rnd 1: Ch 2 (counts as the first stitch), hdc into loop, ch 1.  {2hdc, ch 1 into center ring}.
 Repeat {}4 more times around.  Join with sl st. in first ch-1 space. (you will have 5 ch1 spaces)
Rnd 2:  slip into 1st ch1, space. {sc in next ch-1 space.  Ch 3}  Repeat {} around.  
Join with sl st into first ch-3 space.  (5, ch-3 spaces made)
Rnd 3:ch 1, counts as first sc.  Work: 2 dc, 3tr, 2 dc, sc into same ch-3 space.  {sc, 2dc, 3tr, 2 dc, sc into next ch-3 space}.  Repeat {} around 4 more times to form 5 petals.
Join with sl st into first chain.

Fasten off, leaving a 12-inch tail to sew onto your project whether it be a hat, headband,  sweater or purse.
