What size is this hat, still new to crocheting and figuring out sizes is still hard for me, how can I adjust to make it how I want I'm looking for something 19-20 inches in circumference
ReplyDeleteI used Double Knitting Yarn and finished hat measures 12 inches.
ReplyDeleteTo make hat slightly bigger, at round 8 make another increace round to (2 sc in next stitch, 1 sc in next 6 stitches) 7 times (49 sc), and i needed add another round.
The best way to work out sizes for hats is to keep increasing your work until desired circumference is reached.
This turned out great! I added a ruffle on the bottom for a girly flair and also a ruffle flower to the side. Super cute! Thanks!
ReplyDeletei do not know what size hook to use. every one i try turns out to small
ReplyDeleteI used 4.00 mm. for newborn size.

ReplyDeleteRound 10: Slip Stich to ch 1 space, (ch 3, dc, ch 1, 2dc) in first chain 1 space,
ReplyDeleteOnly continue working with (2dc, 1 ch, 2dc) in each ch 1 space around. Join.

This is a lovely and simple pattern...and you explained it perfectly. :) Thanks so much...I have a new grand-daughter on the way in a couple of days and I needed a quick and easy hat to go with a sweater I had made...with crocheted buttons...so I'll try to find a crocheted flower to coordinate. :)
