Free crochet Baby Bootie Pattern - Cute Baby Ballet Shoes

The very cute baby booties crochet ballet slippers are a delight to make and are delightful on the little girl prima ballerina baby's feet.

Yarn: small amount of baby Double knitting yarn
Hook: 4.00mm
Skill: Easy

finished toe to heel sole length- 10cm or 4inches

Materials: Small amount of elastic for straps or ribbon to thread

Stitches used:

SC=Single Crochet
hdc=Half double crochet


Ballet Shoe Sole
Row 1: Ch 11, sc in second ch from hook, 9sc in next chs, 5 sc in last ch. Working down opposite side of chain, sc, 2 sc in last ch, join with sl st to first sc.

Row 2: Ch 2, hdc in same st, hdc in next 7, 2 hdc in each of the 6 st,  hdc around, 2 hdc in last 2 st, join with sl st.

Row 3: Chain 1 Sc in back loop only all the way round, join with slip st
Row 4: Ch 2, hdc in same st, hdc in each st around, join with sl st.
Row 5: Chain1, Single crochet in base of chain1 st, 
Single Crochet in next 8 st, (dc next 2 st tog) 6 times, sc around, join with a sl st. 
Row 6: Ch 1, Single crochet in base of chain1 st, Single croche in next 7 st,  (2hdc tog)  5 times, single crochet around, join with slip st.

you can simply finish the Ballet Shoe here, or create the fold over for the ribbons as follows

 Row 7: 
Ch 2, turn, 
work 5hdc along
chain2, turn

Row 8: 
work 5 hdc along, chain2 turn
Row 9
work 5 hdc along, chain 2 turn, 
 finish off leaving a long thread.

fold the 3 hdc rows in half and use thread to attatch to the heel edge of the ballet shoe for the ribbon to go through.

Finish off and leave a long tail to sew the back of the loop to back of shoe.
