Enid and Wednesdays Crochet Snoods made by - ANNELIESE NICOLA |
BUT I would NOT feel comfortable doing that then writing out a pattern.
Because I NOW KNOW who designed and crocheted the actual Snoods worn in The Netflix series, Wednesday.
Yes, there is a very fine grey line between 'FAN ART' and outright copyright infringement!
I'm making these for a friend's daughters and not SELLING them.
And I have been asked and begged and assured I will be paid a LOT of money to make just one!
I already have written out and provided a few graph patterns for one of the checked crocheted sweaters you can read about it here
I don't know about you but I can't make them fast enough, which reminds me.
The Snood took me just about the length of a movie to make!
So crocheting the snood is a nice Quick and fast crochet project too.
You can find her on ETSY HERE and her name is ANNELIESE NICOARA
so PLEASE if you crochet a snood that even is just inspired by Wednesdays and Enids please Tag the ORIGINAL crocheted who made the snoods.
We crocheters all stick together! and give recognition where it's due!.
SO I think if you start selling them then that's a bit icky! And could have a problem if the creators came to a knocking
I know a lot of people learning to crochet to just be able to Crochet Wednesdays and Enids Snood as seen in The Netflix hit Wednesday.
I say the more that learn to crochet the better! And you will be hooked once you get started with CROCHET.
Even if you're not a great crocheter THIS IS a very easy beginner-friendly crocheted snood pattern.
So I created this easy Simple Basic easy beginner Snood Crochet Pattern for a Wednesday Addams and Enid Snood.
I found it funny as Most people when searching for snood came across Hair covers from Id say the 70s like in the vintage snood pattern you can see here @Vintage crochet Patterns
My mum told me ladies would wear these during the day to keep their curlers in or to keep their hair in place during the dayBut I was born in the 70s and in the 80s SNOODS were actually extremely long tubular crochet or knit pieces (Basically what we call now an infinity scarf!)
So to crochet a snood, you will crochet a chain length TWICE which you would need for one piece to sit comfortably over your head, and the other to wrap around your neck LOOSELY.
I measured this by how comfortable I felt with one full loop around my neck with extra room (35 inches) and then doubled it = Chain length to start will equal 70 inches.
This is the length of the tubular piece halved
remeber the snood has to go around your head TWICE (for mine 2x35 inches - 70 inches)
The width (depth of snood) will be measured from the front of the head over the crown to the back of the neck

This is a Free Crochet pattern to help you Crochet the snood that Endi gave to Wednesday Addams
Using a 6.500 mm hook and 2 Strands Of Double knit Yarn Held Together. (I used 4x100g Balls of yarn)
ROW 1: Chain 100 and ensure your chain is NOT TWISTED.
You will now be working continuously AROUND (DO NOT JOIN) but keep working in double crochet and continue until your crocheted piece measures the WIDTH required (I was 13 inches for my Niece).
For an adult, I’d make it to 15 inches deep.
Row2: to Row? : Dc in each stitch around. Do not join but work continuously until snood's width measures 15 inches deep.
Or until You have reached the desired width crocheted.
Then its simply Fasten off and weave in ends. Enjoy your snood HOW TO wear a Snood Crochet over into a figure of 8, and Fold so the Snood can be doubled up and worn just around your neck OR worn with one Piece on your head.
I probably would have made it 2 more inches deeper if making the crocheted snood for myself. (ADULT)
It really IS just a huge Circular Infinity scarf /cowl. Just they have called it a snood.

- Cut a piece of cardboard to the desired length of your tassel.
- Wrap the yarn around the cardboard several times, keeping the wraps tight together. The number of wraps will determine the thickness of the tassel.
- Cut a separate piece of yarn and slip it under the wrapped yarn. Tie it tightly around the center of the wrapped yarn to secure it in place
- Carefully remove the tassel from the cardboard and trim the loops on both ends to even them out.
- Cut a separate piece of yarn to several times the length of the tassel and tie it around the top of the tassel, close to the knot that secures the wrapped yarn. This will be used to hang the tassel.
- Take a small piece of yarn and wrap it around the top of the tassel several times, close to the hanging loop, to secure the top and make a neat head.
- Trim the loops on the top to create a flat top and neaten the tassel.
- To finish, gently comb or brush out the loops with your fingers to separate them and make the tassel look fuller.
