What size is a Baby Crochet Headband?
There will be a little bit of stretch with this crochet headband, as we will work in rows.
I have given APPROXIMATE headband sizes here. So you can easily adjust the length of the beginning strip for the main headband
- The newborn crochet headband will be approx: 13'- 14' inches
- 3-month baby infant crochet headband will be approx: 15 -16 inches
- 6 months crochet headband will be approx - 17 inches
- 12 months crochet headband will be approx - 18 inches
How to crochet a stretchy headband with crochet bow 6 months free pattern
YOu will be making 3 separate lengths of crochet - as Follows

- Ch- Chain
- HDC - Half double crochet
- TURN at end of each row.
- With a 3.50mm hook, and Double knit Yarn (I used Stylecraft Special DK)
Ch15
Row1:In the 3rd chain from the hook, work HDC in each stitch, TURN, Ch2.
Row 2: Repeat Row 1 until the headband is approx 17 inches long (this headband will fit a 6-month-old child (or until the desired length is achieved)
Crochet Baby Bow Pattern, How to crochet a Bow for a headband. (EASY )
FIRST Part of BOW )
Using a 3.500mm hook,
Row 1: Ch17, work HDC in the 3rd chain from hook, and in each stitch until end, TURN
Row 2: Ch2, hdc in each st to end of the row, TURN.
Repeat row 2 until strip is approx 4' inches
2nd part of BOW (middle of bow)
Ch 9
Row 1: 1 hdc in 3rd chain from hook, hdc in each stitch
Repeat until the strip is 5 inches long (IF you feel you need to make a little longer to enclose the middle of the bow and the headband make longer)

sew the Ends of the Largest crochet piece together to make a circle, use a needle and the long tails to close, pull to scrunch the sides together (this is where we will PLACE the BOW. )
Repeat for the First part of the Crochet BOW
Position the BOW directly in the middle of the headband join we made. Wrap the Smaller 2nd Piece of the bow strip AROUND the BOW and the HEADBAND. SEW together the ends of the small piece together AT THE BACK of the Work. Also working into where we made the middle of the BOW and secure it into place.
