Free Crochet Scarf Pattern {Pretty Little Pineapple Neck Warmer}

I have spent hours and hours hunting everywhere for free crochet pattern to make a special, dressy scarf, cowl or neck warmer type project, to make for my mother-in-law.  Last year she was a huge fan of the sashay ruffle scarves, and this year she wanted something a little different.
But still dressy enough to wear going out to lunch with the girls. I know my mother-in-law well, she is a very sharp dresser even at 70+ and wanted something classy, yet easy to wear. At this time of year she likes to wear roll neck jumpers, so I didn't want to make her a full length scarf, or a cowl  would not do as she would need to pull it on and off over her newly styled hair, so I felt as though a crochet collar or crochet scarf-let would be perfect for her.
The orders are flying in for this one, and I have even made myself one, and love the comments I get when I wear it.
This pattern is NOT for those who are beginners at crochet. The scarf can be worn several ways and finished off with a gorgeous easy crochet flower (Irish Rose) And In fact this was my first attempt at the intricate crochet pineapple design. I say intricate, once I began to see how the pineapple is made it was rather easy to make.
Pink Rose Crochet Pineapple Neckwarmer
The Pattern for the actual scarf is not mine, and was originally on a ladies blog in Spanish, and now translated with permission by the original designer Pink Rose translated in English on Gotta Love it - SEE THE FULL PATTERN IN ENGLISH HERE
I used the simple Irish rose pattern,  to finish off the scarf. I love this crochet flower for adding to hats, bags, purses and anything that needs it! but you don't need to add a flower you can leave without or add you own embellishment.
