When I crocheted a Heart Granny Square Bucket hat using a SOLID crochet heart square.

However I was  asked if I could do a written tutorial for the popular 'Granny Heart' but made like a traditional granny square.

A granny square is a type of crochet pattern that's made up of a series of chain stitches and double crochets. So you will need to be confident in these crochet sts.

What is a Granny Square in Crochet? The Granny Sqaure is a popular beginners crochet pattern to try because it's easy to make and can be used to create a variety of different projects.

The heart granny square is a variation of the traditional granny square, but instead of a square shape, it's in the shape of a heart! And then you square it Off  using the Granny Stitch

I have  already crocheted a Granny Heart before,  so all I needed to do was square it off.
So after a little bit of working out, I finally got the time to write it up.

This is the written crochet pattern and tutorial for the Granny Square, with a Heart.

I have added in images at each step to show you where to make the stitches.

If you are quite confident at following a written pattern I have also included the Full pattern below the photo tutorials further down the page.
