I am giving the finished crochet tulip flower bouquet to my mother-in-law as a gift for Mother's Day.
A crocheted bouquet is a cost-effective gift that can survive for years and is a fantastic alternative to real flowers which are becoming very expensive and sometimes only last for a few days.
This is why a beautiful hand-crocheted flower bouquet makes the perfect present for someone who enjoys the beauty of flowers but would rather have something that lasts longer.

What yarn do you need to crochet the Tulips?
Any yarn and complimentary hook can be used to make the flowers however please note the bigger the hook the thicker the yarn.
I have chosen dusty pinks to crochet the tulips in. I used a Bamboo Cotton mix Double knit yarn (Stylecraft) I had left over.
To crochet the tulips I used the YARN UNDER method. Simply put instead of Yarn OVER at the first step of the single crochet Yarn under and pull through instead.
I once bought the Forever Flowers you can buy and as much as they were lovely and did last a while. They were EXPENSIVE Like these forever flowers you can Buy from Amazon

Place another SMALL amount of glue at the bottom of the Tulip and around the stick.
