Easy Quick Newborn Baby hat and Booties Pattern (FREE Crochet Pattern)

Newborn Hat sizes 
Circle Diameter of Hat at the END of increases must measure at least 4.5 inches.

 Length of Baby Hat for a newborn is approx 5.5 inches
 Baby Hat circumference is approx. 13.5 inches 

Materials you will need Yarn - Aran weight Yarn Hook - 5.50mm 

Abreviations 
Ch- Chain 
slst - Slip stitch 
HDC - Half Double Crochet Notes: 

To Start you will make a chain of 4 and make the FIRST round into the FIRST chain you made.
Chain will NOT count as a stitch, you will slip to join at end of each round First HDC will be made into the BASE of the Chain at start. 
At the END of Rnd 4 Measure the crown diameter HERE - and should be approx. 4.5 inches 

BABY HAT CROCHET PATTERN 

Rnd 1: Ch4, work 11 HDC Into the first chain, slst to join. (10sts) 

Rnd 2: Ch3, work 2HDC into the same stitch , Repeat around (20sts) 

Rnd 3: Ch3, 2 HDC, into the BASE of the Chain, *HDC into the next st, 2HDC into the Next st* repeat * to * around, (30sts) 

Rnd 4: Ch3, 2 HDC, into the BASE of the Chain, *HDC into the next 2 sts, 2HDC into the Next st* repeat * to * around, (40sts - will measure 4.5 inches across the circle) 

Rnd 5: Ch3, HDC into each stitch around (40sts) 

Rnd 6 to Rnd 11: Ch3, HDC into each stitch around (40sts) 

Fasten Off and weave in ends

BABY BOOTIES CROCHET PATTERN 

Ch6. 

Rnd1: Working into the 2nd chain from your hook. 2HDC into the next st, 6 HDCsts into the SAME ch. working BACK along the bottom of the stitches just worked, slst to join to top of first St. 

Rnd2: 2HDC into the next 2 sts,, hdc into the next 3 sts, 2HDC into the Next 6 sts, HDC in the nxt 3sts, work 2HDC into the LAST 2 sts, slst to join (26sts) 

Rnd 3: HDC into each stitch around (26 sts) 

Rnd 4: Ch1, sc into the first 8 sts, work 2dctog 3 times over the next 6 stitches, HDC into the next 2 sts, Sc to the last st, SlSt to join. (20sts) 

Rnd 5: Ch1, sc into the first 7 sts, dc2tog 3 times over the next 6 stitches (16sts)

Rnd 6: Ch 2 HDC into each st around, (16sts) 

Rnd 7: Ch 2 HDC into each st around, (16sts) 

Rnd 8: Ch 2 HDC into each st around, (16sts) 

Fasten off and weave in ends
