Plush Stuffed Unicorn Amigurumi Crochet Toy Pattern FREE. Crochet this Large plush Unicorn, made using the amazing Blanket yarn, which makes the stuffed toy unicorn so soft and squishy. 

Large sleepy Plush Stuffed crochet Unicorn 

The Stuffed Plush unicorn was originally designed to be made in the thick type of Blanket yarn to make it a large crochet plush toy, however, the recipient's big sister wanted a smaller version of the unicorn that she could attach to a keyring and attach to her bag. To make the small unicorn I used Double knit yarn and a 4.00mm hook in the classic amigurumi crochet style of yarn.

Crochet Pattern for a Unicorn 

LEGS and ARMS (Make 4) 

Make 4 (pic showing DK yarn) 

1.Ch2, work 8sc stitches into the first ch (8)

2. Work 2sc in each stitch around. (16) 

3. sc in each st around (16) 

4. (2sctog)repeat 4 times (12) 

5.2sctog, (repeat 2 times), sc in next stitches. (10)

6. sc in each st around (10)

7. sc in each st around (10)

8. sc in each st around (10)

9. sc in each st around (10)

Stuff the leg lightly here and then Fold the Leg in HALF and single crochet through BOTH sides of stitches to join.

Plush Unicorn BODY

1.Ch2, work 8sc stitches into the first ch (8)

2.Work 2sc in each stitch around. (16) 

3. sc in nxt stitch,work 2sc in nxt st, (24)

4. sc in nxt 2sts, work 2sc in nxt st,(32)

5. sc in nxt 3 sts, work 2sc in nxt st(40)

6. sc in each stitch around  (40)

In the next round, You will attach the LEGS as you go in this round, work the single crochet stitch THROUGH both the leg and the body to join. 

6. Hold the leg to the bodywork single crochet over the next 5 sts, joining the leg to the body. Work 15 single crochet stitches, and join the next 5 sts 

7. sc in each stitch around

15. holding the ARM to the bodywork single crochet over the next 5 sts, joining the ARM to the body. Work a single crochet in next  4 stitches, and join arm and body over the next 5 sts,sc to end

HEAD

1.Ch2, work 8sc stitches into the first ch (8)

2.Work 2sc in each stitch around. (16) 

3. work 2sc in nxt st, sc in nxt stitch (24)

4. (sc in next 3 sts , 2sc in next st) repeat ( ) 1 more time(10)

5. (sc in next 4 sts , 2sc in next st) repeat ( ) 1 more time(12)

6. sc in each stitch around (12)

7. sc in each stitch around (12) 

8. (sc, 2sctog) repeat 4 times (8) 

Fold the ear in half and sc through both sides of the EAR to close, Fasten off and leave a long piece to sew ear onto the head. 

UNICORN HORN

Unicorn Horn

1. ch2, make 4 sc into the first chain. Work the next rows into the Backloop of each stitch

2, scin next st , 2sc in next st, (repeat ( ) 1 more time  (6)

3. (sc in next 2 sts , 2sc in next st) repeat( ) 1 more time  (8)

4. (sc in next 3 sts , 2sc in next st) repeat ( ) 1 more time(10)

5. (sc in next 3 sts , 2sc in next st) repeat ( ) 1 more time(12)

6. sc in each stitch around 

7. sc in each stitch around, stuff lightly and sew into position. 

How to Crochet the Circular Spiral Mane and Tail spirals for the Unicorn 

For the Large crochet unicorn Blanket Yarn.  You will need 3 large circulars and 3 small circulars. If you want to make them LESS curly simply adjust how many single crochets you work into each stitch, example work 2 single crochets into the same stitch for a less curly circle. For the Double knit unicorn I made 4 x sets of 3 in each chosen colour

Make a chain of 31, working INTO the second chain from the hook, work 3sc into EACH stitch along the chain,at the LAST chain, (slip stitch, chain the next length of chain) you can. 

Repeat this 3 Times or as many times as you wish to make several spirals at a time OR make each one separately.  (they may twist out of shape as you are working them but simply twist back into shape.   

SMALL ER Crochet Spiral 

Make a chain of 21, working INTO the second chain from the hook, work 3sc into EACH stitch along the chain, 

Tail crochet spiral (Make 3, and sew on top of each other together, and sew securely INTO place) 

Chain 12  

working INTO the second chain from the hook, 

work 3sc into EACH stitch along the chain, 

I made a small Crochet Rose and a Large Crochet Rose for the side of the unicorn's horn 

Easy Small Crochet Rosebud pattern 

 Ch 16, 

 Row 1, sc in 2nd chain from hook, and in each stitch until the end. (15st) 

 Row 2: Ch3, 3dc into the same sc, ch3, slip stitch into the NEXT sc, (ch3, 3dc into the next sc, ch3, Slist into the next sc) repeat TWICE, (ch3, 2dc in each of the nxt 2 sc sts, ch3, slst into the nxt sc) 3 Times.

 FASTEN OFF with a long tail. 

 Roll the strip up from the beginning of row 2 smaller petals, continue rolling around to the last set of petals, and when you are happy with the placement (I sometimes adjust the layout of the petals once rolled) 

SEW securely through the back side, with a few stitches sewn through all the layers. 

Easy Crochet Pattern Large Rose 

Ch36, Row1: work 1 sc along the chain just made, (35 sts) 

Row 2: ch3, dc into the same sc ch3, slip st into the next sc.

SEW securely through the back side, with a few stitches sewn through all the layers.
