All sizes of the pumpkin are crocheted in ROWS, folded in half and seams joined to make a tube, Gather the top of the pumpkin by weaving the yarn through the top stitches and pull to tighten, You will stuff to shape and close the bottom of the pumpkin by weaving yarn through the stitches and pulling to tighten.
I used Chunky Blanket Yarn (Chunky 5) (*AF) For the 3 sizes I used 2 Balls of this yarn,
Abbreviations: US Terms
bl-slst = Back loop slip stitch
hdc =half double crochet
The Stem is made in the SAME way for each size just adjusting your starting chain.
Chain 11, work 2sc INTO the 2nd chain from hook and 2sc into each stitch back along the chain.

Chain 15 to start
Row 1: slst into the second chain to start, hdc into the next 12 sts, slip st into the LAST st, Ch1, TURN
Row 2: Working Into the Back loops from here on bl slst, bl hdc, into the next 12 sts, bl-slst into the last st. Ch1, TURN
Row 3 to Row 15: Repeat Row 2
Fasten off leaving a long tail to sew together.
Row 1: slst into the second chain to start, hdc into the next 12 sts, slip st into the LAST st, Ch1, TURN
Row 2: Working Into the Back loops from here on bl slst, bl hdc, into the next 12 sts, bl-slst into the last st. Ch1, TURN

To assemble the Pumpkin follow these next steps
1. Fold the rectangle in HALF lengthways, in half and sew together the seams to make a tube,
2. Weave your needle and thread through the top of the pumpkin and PULL tight to close.
3. STUFF the pumpkin until you are happy with the shape. Remember to not overstuff or you will end up with a ball.
4. Weave the needle with your yarn through the ridges of the Hdc stitches and pull to close

Row 2: ch3, 3 TrC in to first st,2trc in next st, Dc in nxt 2sts, Hdc in next 3 sts, in next st work (dc,ch1,dc) ALL in same space, HDC in next 3 sts, Dc in next 2 sts, 2TrC in next st, 3TrC in last st, chain 3 and slip into last chain of previous rounds chain to finish round, slip to join to first chain of Round 2.
Row 3: slip stitch BACK up the chain of last round, up to the top and work 2sc into the first st (previous rows 1st TRC), 3hdc in the next st, Hdc in the next 7 sts, Dc in next 2 sts, Work (2Dc, ch1, 2Dc - POINT) ALL in the next chain space of previous round, dc in next 2 sts, Hdc in next 7 sts 3hdc in the next, 2sc into the last st, slip stitch down the last rows ch, and continue to slip to join to top of chain of row 2.

If you want to crochet the Curly Stems. You will crochet a length of chain and work 3 stitches into each ch, if you want it to be really curly, repeat 3 stitches in each ch until you have reached the desired effect you want. 
Chain ANY length (I chained 15 for this example )
Rnd 1: start by making 3 sc into EACH chain across, Ch1 TURN
Rnd 2: 3sc into Each stitch across, (fasten off here if you only want 1 curly STEM, If you want a bunch od curls, SLIP STITCH into the last st, and Ch15, and complete another Rnd1 and Rnd 2 Slip stitch into SAME slip stitch as before and repeat again For 3 Circles
Fastne off and Weave in all ends neatly.
