If you would like to make a matching Crochet Baby Hat

I have a lovely easy baby pumpkin hat pattern, again it is extremely easy to crochet, and by crocheting a rectangle to the measurements required sewing the seam to make a tube then sewing around the top end of the hat and pulling to tighten.
The hat is made with 2 strands of the dk yarn held together as It is for the baby so it will be nice and cosy on the little one's head.

How to crochet the Pumpkin Booties

For newborns, you will crochet the length of the bootie. These are the toe-to-heel measurements

  • Newborn - Foot length/ starting chain  = 3.5 inches
  • 3-6 months - Foot length / starting chain   = 3.75 inches
  • 6- 12 months - foot length / starting chain = 4.0 inches

So for newborn bootie size, you will need a chain to measure 3.5’’ chain +2 ch length to start

NOTES: Remember to ADD Chain 2 on each size.
  • You will need to know How to crochet the Half Double Crochet (US stitch.
  • Working into the back loop of previous rows HALF DOUBLE CROCHET stitch.
  • Using a 3.00mm hook ( NOTE: I am an extremely loose crocheter so please check the measurement of starting chain as you may need to adjust)
  • 50 g Double knit yarn Orange and a small amount of Green for the Curly spirals (*AF)
  • The terms used are the US
