How to Crochet a 3D star. The star was originally made In Amigurumi plush style, and it is not started with a magic ring/ magic circle) SO its a pretty easy Crochet Star Pattern to follow. The star crochet pattern is easy if you can work in single crochet and in rounds.
If you are making the crochet stars for the baby mobile, then you will be working with thinner yarn and a small hook. I totally recommend using stitch markers!.
The chonky crochet star would make the best Graduation gift, or make a fab teacher appreciation gift to crochet as it’s a quick and easy project to finish up in an evening. Following the SAME star pattern, you can also use a small hook and a thin yarn to create a crochet star amigurumi keyring as a teacher appreciation crochet gift idea.

Using a small hook and a baby yarn crochet a cute star keyring |
Anyway, I was recently asked to crochet a STAR Plush soft toy for a new baby. (please follow all guidelines when creating ANYthing for a baby). The parents also wanted a rainbow star nursery-themed mobile. And basically gave me free rein to come up with something.

I knew I wanted to use some super soft blanket yarn I’d been given recently. I wanted Limited pieces to join together, and most patterns were made making 2 pieces and then sewing them together. So I wanted to see if I could crochet the star ALL in one piece and with limited sewing. This also strengthens the crochet star to be able to pass the pull test. IF making as a toy.
Although I love making things I know are for small hands, they also need to withstand a few tests.
(Please see your countries guidelines for handmade toy safety)
I have also made this same pattern TO crochet the Small 3d Star Keyring I used a 2.00mm hook and a small amount of baby Double knit yarn.
It would look so cool with my small crochet rainbow keyring too
TO make the Star Plush Toy or Pillow you will Need:
I used Marriners 'Get Cosy' - Blanket Chunky yarn (AF) and a 7.00mm hook (AF)
