Easter Basket Crochet Pattern FREE

This Easter Basket is so easy to crochet, and it's not just for easter, make the Easter bag in any color you wish. And decorate with small crochet flowers 

Easy Easter Basket 

Fill them with cute crochet Eggs, or fill them with chocolate eggs. Over the years I've made several of these crochet baskets for a range of ages, and some still use them today to keep their little bits and bobs in. 

The Basket pattern is written in US crochet terms 

The GREEN Crochet Basket (can you believe this is the exact same pattern just switched up the yarn and hook, it is made using Aran weight yarn and holding 2 strands together and a 6.00mm hook 

Easy Easter Basket Crochet Pattern 

Easter BASKET Crochet Pattern 

Round  1: chain2 to start and Work 5 sc in the first chain. 

Round  2: Work 2 sc in every sc the entire round  (10 sc)

Round  3: * 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in first sc*, repeat from *-* the entire round  (15 sc)

Round  4: * 2 sc in next sc ,1 sc in each of the first 2 sc*, repeat from *-* Repeat around (20 sc)

Round  5: * 2 sc in next sc ,1 sc in each of the first 3 sc *, repeat from *-* Repeat around  (25 sc)

Round  6: * 2 sc in next sc ,1 sc in each of the first 4 sc*, repeat from *-* Repeat around (30 sc.)

Round  7: *2 sc in next sc ,1 sc in each of the first 5 sc *, repeat from *-* Repeat around  (35 sc.)

Round  8: * 2 sc in next sc ,1 sc in each of the first 6 sc *, repeat from *-* Repeat around  (40 sc)

Round 9: * 12 sc in next sc ,1 sc in each of the first 7 sc*, repeat from *-* Repeat around  (45 sc)

Round 10: sc in each stitch around. (45sc) 

Rouind 10 - Round  20: sc in each stitch around (45) 

Chain 12, skip 11sts, sc in next 12, chain 12, skip 11 sts, sc to last st, 

working in single crochet around, when you reach the 12 ch sts,  

work 16 single crochets AROUND THE chain length, making sure to cover all the chain with the stitches. 

Last round, work 1 sc in EACH stitch around including the stitches of the handle, slip to join and fasten off. 

Weave in all ends

I have added some easy-to-crochet small rose flowers, to the little white basket, I followed a shortened version of my 3d crochet Rose Pattern, but made them in a thinner yarn and with a smaller hook. Again you can suit yourself to hook and sizes.

How to crochet a Small Rose Flower (FREE Pattern) 

sc=single crochet

dc=double crochet

ch=chain

you will work the 4 dcs, 

Chain 27

Row 1:  sc in 2nd ch from hook, and carry on working (ch2, skip 1ch, 1sc) across. 

Turn piece,  (ch1, 4dc, ch1,  in each ch2 space, slip st into previous rows sc,) repeat  ( ) across 

Finish off, leaving a long tail. 

Take the Beginning and Roll the piece into a spiral until the end and use the long tails to secure flower petals to each other
