Crochet Hook - I used a 4.00 mm But you can change the hook size to suit your yarn!
To make your Teddy as un gappy as possible I prefer to use the YARN UNDER SINGLE CROCHET
just swap the usual Yarn Over in the single crochet stitch to catching the yarn UNDER your hook and drawing through to complete the Stitch .

Joining the HEAD to the Teddys Body
Once you have secured the Head to the body (I like to sew the head onto the body at Round 2)
Take time to place the EARS into place before Sewing. I used safety eyes here but you can embroider them on especially if it's for a little one. Safety first.
I then take the yarn slightly down and to the left pull through and then back UP to the middle, repeating for the opposite side of the mouth.
I THEN take the dark yarn and place small eyebrows to give the teddy some character.
