But DO not be put off, Amigurumi is simply put, the Japanese name given to the particular type and style of crochet to make stuffed toys and plush animals, usually using just single crochet and working in the round.
SO please do not be put off crocheting the little bear or attempting 'amigurumi' style patterns.

The original teddy would turn out much larger using this yarn!
I think I might try it out, however, It looks so gorgeous as it is made with a chunky yarn
The Crochet bear pattern is a simply written pattern, and the Crochet teddy bear is NOT made with the magic circle at the beginning, SO it's great for beginners
However, you must be able to work in rounds and in single crochet.
YOu will USE a marker to keep track of each round as you go.
The arms and legs are for the teddy bear are made first, and you can join them as you go, ensuring a robust little teddy bear, meaning all you need to sew on is the head and ears.
How to attach the Teddy bear's Arms and legs as you go
Holding the leg with the 2dctogether stitches facing FRONT FOLD leg in HALF, as you work the round position the teddy bear's legs equally apart,
and single crochet THROUGH ALL the 2x sides and Body stitches,
to attach and secure legs to the body piece.

LEGS (make 2)
Rnd 1: ch2, to start 6 sc into the first chain
Rnd 2: 2sc in each stitch around (12)
Rnd 3: sc in each stitch around
Rnd 4: sc in each stitch around
Rnd 5: (sc, 2sctogther) repeat around (10sts)
Rnd 6: sc in each stitch around
Rnd 7: sc in each stitch around

Lightly fill the legs, with most stuffing at the bottom of feet.

Fold in Half the Leg and Single crochet through BOTH
sides to join into a FLAT seam
