I have included some helpful photos to enable you to crochet your very own Crochet Red Rose.
I am always being asked how do you crochet a long stem English 3d large ROSE
The crochet Rose is the central flower of the Beijing Olympic Winter Games awards bouquet.
The inclusion of the Crochet English Rose flower in the bouquet signifies Friendship.
I wanted to crochet a single red rose however I could only find crochet rose diagrams online.
And I am not good at reading them.
SO I set out to write out a pattern to crochet a rose.
I really really wanted a simplified written crochet pattern to create a realistic English long-stemmed Crochet Red Rose.
I have tried to make this written Rose pattern really simple.
It is made up of several circular shapes worked in the round and then glued together.
I also already have an extremely popular and easy FREE Crochet rose Flower pattern which is made in ROWS
then rolled up to resemble more of an open Tea Rose Flower.
I love the winter Olympics. And when I heard they were giving out crochet bouquets to the medalists well i just had to create my own patterns for my very own Olympic bouquet.
To celebrate this year's winners China have made it clear they are approaching the Games in the best way they can, to limit the impact on the planet.
So this year instead of fresh flowers which would only last a few weeks. A team of crocheters in China has been busy making crochet flower bouquets for the medalists.
Working tirelessly to create the most beautiful bouquets. Around 50,000 hours in total!
Local Shanghainese participating in the production of the Winter Olympic Crochet Flower Bouquets are all members of the Yangpu District Qiaoshou Mother Workshop. How to assemble the crochet rose.
I have made a video to show you how to create the rose from the rose petals.
Please watch through to see how to assemble your rose.
Taking all the ENDS through the hole in the green piece, pull tightly, and finish off ends.
Wrap green yarn around everything down the length of the Rose STEM,
if you run out of wire but want to make it longer
just twist to add some more wire and make
this as long as you need.
Wrap green yarn around to hide the wire.
