Granny Square Flower Crochet Bag Pattern FREE.

Written and Photo Tutorial to help you crochet a granny flower square bag.

How to Crochet a Daisy Granny Square Bag

I knew as soon as I had made the crochet daisy bucket hat I was asked to crochet a bag.

But instead of using the 8 petal daisy, I decided to use a 12 petal daisy for the granny square.

And as soon as I posted the Crochet Granny SQaure bag you were asking for the pattern on how to crochet the daisy Granny Square Bag.

This is NOT a hard crochet project, it really is quite easy once you have made the squares. It's a fantastic Yarn Stash buster crochet project.

If you make a Daisy granny Square Bag and post it online be sure to let me see it by tagging me #lisaauchcrochet

I will take you through the steps to help you crochet your very own daisy center granny square bag. Please note these crochet daisies have 12 petals.

If you would prefer an 8 petal daisy granny square you can follow the steps for the daisy square on my website here, which I made a Crochet bucket hat with the 8 petal daisy granny inserts

How to crochet the Handles.

Join to ANY stitch on a Long side of the Front of the Bag (front of bag Layys completely flat)

Sc in each stitch until the meeting corners. SKIP 3 stitches ( well call this the VALLEY) and work directly UP the Next side in single crochet to the middle chain of the corner of the square.

Chain 60 (or as many as you wish the length of the bag to be. )
ensuring the chain is not twisted, attach to the opposite PEAK of your bag, by single crochet into the corner stitch of square and proceed to continue to first sc made and slip to join.

I have made the background darker so as you can see the joining better.

2nd row, sc in each stitch until you reach the Valley, skip 2 sts, and work up the opposite side, continue sc in EACH stitch around the chain handle, and back to the beginning, sip to join.

You can repeat another few rounds if you wish, but remember the Thickness of the Handle will double when you use to crochet the next side. I find 3 Rounds are Enough

Start 2nd Handle in exactly the SAME WAY.

the inside Valleys of your Bag

Join Yarn that you are using for Handle and Sc in each stitch around INCLUDING working in the BACK of the Chain length you created on the front sides

Remember to Skip the 2 stitches at the VALLEY and if you feel you need to you can skip a stitch at the peak of the handle.

Fasten off all lends and weave in neatly.
