- 1. I used 2 strands of Double Knit Yarn yarn held together
- 2. 4.5mm hook
- 3. Safety eyes
- 4. Yarn needle to weave in ends and attach tentacles to bottom
- 5. Work in rounds unless specified
HEAD - Starting at the top of the jellyfish
Round 1: Ch2, SC 8 times inside circle, pull tight to close (8 SC)
Round 2: 2 SC in each st around (16 SC)
Round 3: *1 SC, INC* around (24 SC)
Round 4: *2 SC, INC* around (32 SC)
Round 5: *3 SC, INC* around (40 SC)
Round 6: *4 SC, INC* around (48 SC)
Rounds 7-14: SC in each st around (48 SC)
Round 15: *4 SC, DEC* around (40 SC)
Round 16: SC in each st around (40 SC)
Round 17: *3 SC, DEC* around (32 SC)
Round 18: SC in each st around (32 SC)
Round 19: Sc in 1st st, skip 1 st, 5 DC in next st, *skip 1 st, SC in next st, skip 1 st, 5 DC in next st* around, ending with a slip st in the 1st SC, fasten off, weave in end.
Attach safety eyes 2 rows above the shell edging and 8 SC apart, embroider a mouthBottom:
Round 1: Make a magic circle and SC 8 times inside the circle, pull to close, do not join.
Round 2: 2 SC in each st around (16 SC) Round 3: *1 SC, INC* around (24 SC) Round 4: *2 SC, INC* around (32 SC) Round 5: *3 SC, INC* around (40 SC)

The bottom of your Jellyfish will look like this. You will attach the jellyfish tentacles before sewing to the inner side of Rnd 18 |
Fasten off leaving a long tail to be used later to attach the bottom piece to the head.
How to Crochet Tentacles: Make 8
Ch 50, 3 SC in 2nd ch from hook and each chain to end, fasten off, use tails to attach tentacles to the bottom piece, tails should be coming out on the “wrong side” of your work.

To Make Up the Jellyfish
Start stuffing the jellyfish head, lightly at this point.
Using the sweating yarn needle and long tail, whip stitches the bottom piece with the tentacles attached to round 18 of the head, stuff in all ends to hide ensuring they are all safely secured. leave a small gap to finish stuffing,
sew up the gap and weave in the end.
