Crochet a small Christmas Wreath Decoration ( Free & Easy Pattern)

A very EASY Crochet Christmas wreath decoration for your tree. I was looking for easy Christmas decorations to make, due to my new outlook in life of make mend and do.

Whilst looking around my sunroom I saw these old curtain rings. I decided to change the curtain style so they were not going to be used but instead of throwing them out.

I just kept them thinking I could use them for something......

I had planned on using them elsewhere in the house, but even after a wash and scrub, they still looked a bit tatty. SO I got my hook and some yarn and started to cover them working around the ring.

I Love the little wreaths and have had that many compliments that I had to make several for family members. These little wreaths are light so make fabulous hanging tree decorations.

I had several sizes to choose from and settled on a 2-inch diameter wooden ring

You can also BUY 2 inch wooden rings here on Amazon.  Wooden Rings for Crafts (2.2 in, 20-Pack)

I have used these to crochet some new festive Christmas decorations.

Everyone uses the same basic technique of crocheting around the ring in single crochet

I have added a short video here to let you see how to croche around a curtain ring. It really is quite easy once you have the hang of incorporating the ring into the single crochet stitch.
