The finished Teddy stands around 12 inches tall. And the Written crochet pattern is super simple and is perfect for beginners to crochet their first amigurumi-style crochet teddy bear.
It's a very quick crochet project to make, especially if it's a last-minute gift you need quickly, and it really is a lovely gift idea for a baby shower or new baby.
I also have an even easier Crochet Teddy Pattern that you could make in just one sitting.
The pattern is super simple and can be made in no time at all.
It's not as big as the featured crochet teddy bear but it is just as cute.
It is made using a bulky chenille-type yarn. perfect for stash busting too

- The teddy can be made using up scraps of your yarn in multiple colors.
- As long as you use the same thickness of yarn throughout for the crochet bear.
- The picture below was made for a lockdown baby with a little rainbow sewn into his paw.
The teddy can be made with any suitable yarn and an appropriate hook for the thickness of your yarn.
For the Grey teddy above I used a 3.5mm hook
and 1 ball 100g James C Brett Chunky from Deramores*(AF)
- I would suggest crocheting the arms and legs FIRST.

- STuff Legs and Sew to body.
- IF you want a SITTING DOWN TEDDY BEAR Stuff legs HALFWAY.
- Flatten the last few rounds and secure to the underside of the body, this helps teddy Sit.
