It is worked in the Round so no messy join line at the back uually created by hats worked in the round and joined, And the inside of the hat is very neat and soft especially important for a newborns head.

Use a larger size hook and or yarn to make the cap for a larger size child. Or a smaller hook and lighter Yarn to make smaller Using the handy measurement table on this page.  Once you make one it then becomes easier to work out how to make this bigger, increasing to suit different sizes! So Easy and Simple.

                               Easy Baby Crochet Hat Pattern, Baby Beanie Pattern 
4.00mm (or a 3.50mm Hook for Newborn)
Baby DK

Rnd 1: Create 10sc in Magic loop, (OR CH 3, slip to join and work 10sc into the loop) Do Not Join

Rnd 2: 2 SC in ea SC. (20Sc)

Add a marker to your beginning stitch.

Rnd 3: 1 SC in ea SC. (20Sc)

Rnd 4: 1 SC in next ST, 2 SC in next ST. (30Sc)

Rnd 5: 1 SC in ea SC around. (30Sc)

Rnd 6: 1 SC in next 2 Sts, 2 SC in next St. (40Sc)

Rnd 7: SC in ea SC around. (40Sc)

Rnd 8: .1 SC in next 3 Sts, 2 SC in next St (50Sc)

Rnd 9: SC in ea ST around. (50Sc)

Rnd 10: 1 SC in next 4 Sts, 2 SC in next St. (60Sc)

Rnd 11-18: SC in EA SC around or until you get the length of your cap.

In the picture, I Slipped stitch LOOSELY into BACK LOOP of next stitch to create the edging, for the last 4 rounds to create the border.

To make a BOW:
Chain 20
Chain 1 turn
Slip stitch into top of each chain st (6 rounds, to create a rectangle shape. ) Finish off leaving a long tail, use this to attach to the baby hat, and pull in the middle!
(I had never made this before and kind of just thought a bow would suit the color of the hat)

You should be able to work in single crochet, double crochet, work in a repeat pattern sequence.
be familiar with making a garment from the neck down

Measurements: Newborn 17inches around chest.

Gauge: 9 double crochet measures 2inches
Materials:
Yarn Baby Double knit Yarn
I used exactly 1x100grms
Hook 3.50mm, 4.00mm hook
Additional Supplies: 3 small buttons

Abbreviations: Pattern written in US crochet terms

ch = chain
st(s) = stitch (es)
sc =single crochet
dc= double crochet

NOTE: the dc in the BASE of Chain stitch at start of rows of neck counts as the first stitch until pattern commences.

Special Stitches: (sc, dc) in same stitch

Notes:

Read Pattern instructions carefully before starting to crochet.

This cardigan is worked from the Neck Down

To create the shoulders you will increase by working 3 sets of specified stitch in one stitch, each shoulder row will increase by 8 stitches.

Start by creating a Chain of 57 with the 4.00mm hook, change to 3.5mm hook to continue

You will be creating the armholes now.

BODY: Pattern Rows.

Row 10: [(sc, dc) skip 1 stitch], repeat [ ] to last st, ch1, TURN

Row 11: skip 1st stitch, [(sc,dc) skip 1 stitch], repeat [ ] , finish with a sc,dc in last stitch, ch1, TURN,

Continue working Row 11 for further 10 rows or until work measures 9 1/2 inches,

Changing to the 4.00mm hook at row 16.

Make sure last row worked is finishing on your chosen boy girl right side of work.

Do Not Fasten Off.

Continue with the 4.00mm hook, Attach yarn Right side at last row of YOKE,

Working in single crochet work evenly up the front of cardigan, to neck,

Working 3sc in corner stitches, work around neck and down front

Finish with a slip stitch into first row of pattern

Attach the buttons to the preferred side of cardigan,

I use the double crochet spaces on the opposite side as the buttonholes.

Sleeves: still working with the 4.00mm hook,

Row1: Join Yarn in a stitch under the arm single crochet evenly around make sure you have 26sts,

Ch1 TURN, (you will join the sleeve edge later.

Row2: sc in base of ch,1, dc in same spce, [ (sc, dc) skip next st], repeat [ ] around and finish

With a single crochet in the last stitch, Ch1, TURN.

Repeat Row 2 for 15 rows, (always finish with a single crochet) 16 pattern rows in total.

Cuff (work in rounds) : join yarn at side of cuff, and single crochet in each stitch around,

Slipping to join the other side of the sleeve, so as to work in the round.

Mark here as beginning of round.

Rnd 2 of Cuff: single crochet in first 4sts, skip 1 stitch repeat around,

Rnd 3: single crochet in each stitch around, fasten off and weave in ends to finish,

Weave in all ends

Use the yarn end at under arm for sewing together the arm seams.

Easy Crochet Baby Blanket Pattern, FREE Crochet Pattern

This is a very easy blanket to make up you can start with any stitch number you require to make it any length you wish. It also is in the Same stitch Design as the
Sweet sugar Babies Beautiful Long Sleeved Cardigan
Making this an ideal gift set for a new baby.


The finished dimensions of this blanket is 23 inches across and 30 inches deep.
Of course, you can make this blanket any size you wish just make sure your starting chain is easily divided by 2. Also, you can use any yarn and hook.
For my blanket, I used Double Knit* and a 4.5mm hook
The pattern is written in US terms.


Easy FAST crochet Baby Blanket Pattern FREE 

Ch 80

Row 1: DC in 4th ch from hook, [sk 1 st, SC and DC in next stitch (both in same stitch)]
repeat from [ ] across, ending with sk 1 st, SC in last stitch. Ch 1, turn.

Row 2: sc DC in base of ch1, [sk 1 st, SC and DC in next stitch (both in same stitch)] repeat from [ ]  across, ending with sk 1 st, SC in last stitch/turning ch. Ch 1, turn.

Repeat row 2 until you reach the desired length.

For a simple border, simply work single crochet evenly across the sides, tops and bottom of blanket working 3 single crochet into the corners. 
Cut yarn.
Weave in ends
