I love it sometimes when given a little project like this, as it takes me right back to the basics of our craft, creating simple, stunning crochet projects.

Not only is it St Patricks day on the 17th March but it is also my husbands Birthday and to celebrate I made our little bulldog a mini Crochet Leprechaun Hat, very easy to create, gauge is not important, choose your yarn and hook to suit yourself and what you would like your desired finished hat to look like
I used a 4.00mm hook and Double Knit Yarn/worsted
50 grms of green yarn, 
some balck and gold/yellow to finish

R1: sc 6 in magic ring 
R2: inc. around (12) 
R3: *sc 1, inc* repeat around (18)
R4: *sc 2, inc* repeat around (24) 
R5: *sc 3, inc* repeat around (30) 
R6: *sc 4, inc* repeat around (36) 
R7: *sc 5, inc* repeat around (42)
R8: in backloops only *sc 6, inc* repeat around (48) This makes the Top of the hat ridge to fold over) 
R9-20 : sc around (48) 
R 21: *sc 5, dec*repeat around (42) 
R 22: In frontloops only sc around (42) This shapes the hat for the brim) 
R23: inc, sc 6, inc, sc 6, inc, sc 6, inc, inc, sc 5, inc, sc 5, inc, sc 6, inc (50) 
R24 : *sc, inc* around (75) R25 : sc 15, inc, sc 15, inc, sc 15, inc, sc 15, inc, sc 10, inc (80) 
R26 : sc around (80)

Belt (black) Chain 60 SC 1 round 
Buckle Make 2 Chain 6 R1. SC finish off leave tail to sew together later
Make 2 Chain 4 R1:SC end, 
Join all 4 pieces together and attatch to belt. 
I attatched this hat to a headband of my daughters to keep on my head, and to fit the dog. 
I made a long chain to keep the hat round the dogs head!
