Free written Granny Square With Flower Center pattern |
I have included some helpful photo tutorials to help even if you are a beginner crochet student, following a simple Granny Square crochet pattern you can make this up in no time.
Originally I made the cushion to match my decor at the time and To finish I made extra crochet flowers, to attach to the corners of the connecting seams at the corners where the normal granny square and the flower granny sqaure corners met.
For the Vintage Granny flower Square pillow, I crocheted 5 granny Squares with a border of 4 rounds worked into the back loop only.
And 4 granny Squares with a crochet flower in the middle.
Very easy to crochet. This is a relatively easy way to crochet the flower into the Granny Square

If you wish to make the Crochet Square Bigger continue in the established pattern, you will make 1 EXTRA 3dc than in previous rounds, into each side of the square.
sc in each stitch around
Joining the Squares is relatively easy. position them as you want the pattern to follow and then join them together into the Square.
I used a cream pillowcase folded to the correct size of joined squares, and attached to the right side of the pillow, this makes an easy slip over for the cushion padding.
