This really is an easy simple Free Crochet Pattern to follow and make a Vintage Baby Bonnet Made using 3ply (I used cygnet Kiddies Super soft) and 5.00mm/I Crochet Hook . Finished size of bonnet is 15/16 inches around so would fit baby either side of 3 months.
I can make it in an hour of less, and its very easy to work once you have the pattern going.

You could also use smaller hook /larger hook to adjust sizing, the pattern stitch is quite versatile
Please note Pattern Stitch: Starting in 2nd Chain from hook.
*Sc in each of next 2. Dc in each of next 2* repeat from ** to end. Finishing with 2 sc.

Ch 47
Row 1: Starting in 2nd Chain from hook.
*Sc in each of next 2. Dc in each of next 2* repeat from ** to end. Finishing with 2 sc.
Row 2: Ch2, Dc in each of next 2, sc in each of next 2 * repeat around (ou are now working opposite of stitches in previous rounds)
Row 3 - 16 work as Row 1 and 2 alternate
Row 17: - slip st along 16 sts.  Work the pattern stitch on the centre 14 stitches.
Work until this panel measures the same as the sides.
Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing together.
Your Work will now be shaped like a T.
Sew the Side Seams. Turn inside out and Fold Back the Front Rim (width of 2 rows)

We will be working through the stitches of the fold, creating the front ruffle)

Join Yarn to bottom corner of bonnet.
Work ch3, in the first available stitch/gap, *sc, sl st into next, ch3* {picot made} continue ** like this until the end.
On the 2nd Row. Work 2sc ch1, sk 1, *work 3sc, skip 1 to the end. end with 2sc.
Next row: work 1 sc in each sc and skipped place.
Next Row: work 1 sc in each sc. finish off

Make a Tie: Chain 8 inces (longer or shorter as desired work 1 slip st in each. Fasten off. Thread the tie through the spaces on the neck edge.

you can also use a length of ribbon.
