A Headband earwarmer is Very easy to crochet and a great quick gift idea.
I wear my ear warmers all the time during the colder months.
My daughter refused to wear a hat BUT loves wearing these headbands as they are ever so fashionable
The pattern for the headband in the picture is very easy.
The ribbed effect of the Earwarmer is created by working in back loops of single crochet stitches throughout the rows creates a ridge pattern.
You can also make it as wide as you wish. Or by measuring around your head you can make it any size you wish

Easy Crochet Earwarmer Pattern
This ribbed crochet headband is open at the back and connected with big buttons so it was adjustable for both my daughter to wear and Myself.
The headband crochet pattern is worked in the BACK loops throughout the pattern to create the ridged effect.
I used an Aran weight yarn with a 4.5mm hook. I do crochet loosley so adust hook /yarn to suit) and
Follow the sizes recommendations.
chain 6
Row1: sc in 2nd chain from hook and each ch across, turn (5 sts)
Rows 2 to Row 8: ch1, sc in each stitch, turn (5 sts)
Row 9: ch1, 2 sc in 1st st, sc to last st, 2sc in last stitch, turn (7 sts)
Row 10 to Row 14: ch1, sc in each stitch, turn (7sts)
Row 15: ch1, ch1, 2 sc in 1st st, sc to last st, 2sc in the last stitch, turn ( 9sts)
Rows 16 to Row 20: ch1, sc in each stitch, turn (9sts)
Rows 21: ch1, [2sc in next st, sc in next st ] , [repeat ] to end (14sts)
Rows 22 - 60: ch1, sc in each stitch, turn (14sts)
Row 61: ch1, [sc2tog,sc], [repeat] in each stitch across, (9 sts)
Rows 62 to Row 65: sc in each stitch, turn (9sts) ( OR until the desired length is achieved)
Row 66: 2sc tog in first 2sts, sc to last 2 sts, and 2sc tog in last (7 sts)
Row 67 to Row 71: ch1, sc in each st, turn, (7sts)
Row 72: ch1, 2sctog, in first 2 sts, sc to last 2 sts, 2 sc tog (5 sts)
Row 73 to Row 83: sc in each stitch (5sts) Or until you reach 1 INCH LESS of the headband measurements supplied
To create the buttonhole for the Earwarmer
ch 5; join with a slip st to form a ring.
Round 1: Ch 5 (counts as dc and ch-2), [dc, ch 2] 5 times
in ring; join to 3rd ch.
Round 2: Ch 1, (sc, hdc, dc, tr, dc, hdc, sc) in each ch-2
space around – 6 petals.
Round 3: Holding Round 2 forward, * sc in dc from Round
1, ch 3; repeat from * around; join.
Round 4: Ch 1, (sc, hdc, dc, 3 tr, dc, hdc, sc) in each ch-3
space around – 6 petals.
Round 5: Holding Round 4 forward, * sc in sc from Round
3, ch 4; repeat from * around; join.
Round 6: Ch 1, (sc, hdc, dc, 5 tr, dc, hdc, sc) in each ch-4
space around – 6 petals. Fasten off.
